Isn't that the program Winlink is running to begin with?

The TNC isn't the only issue:
  - is it open source?
  - is it available for multiple platforms (i.e. Linux)?
  - is there a quest for a Linux Winlink client?

also need to be answered.  A quick look at their web page
indicates that the first two are "no", and postings on
the reflector would indicate the third one is
"not necessarily"

Did I miss something about source being available?
