Last night my normally robust and rapid Comcast Internet account
turned to the dark side.  In other words -- we lost the Internet.

It turns out we were a bit weak in the force..   Browsing the cable
modem showed 0 to 2 midichlorians (dbm) of incoming RF which the cable
guy said was right on the lower boundary of what they need to work.

Pulling the Radio Sithe (Shack) splitter and connecting directly
restored the expected difference (for RS.. - 5 dbm ) and brought back
Internet.

So - what are you (fellow comcasters) seeing for downlink signal strength?

FYI - The trick to access the Cable modem is:  http://192.168.100.1
