I'll play. (I'll always play...)
Looked like more cars parking then usual. I think sellers were up and
buyers were down. Wasn't squished like other years.
HRO was there but seemed to have less stacks then before. They didn't
have the 220 radio I was shopping for. (I ordered it and it should be
here tomorrow... - Anybody hear the Gold Mtn packet repeater lately?)
Maybe showing up over an hour past opening time I missed the best
stuff. Picked up some oldies (1270 TNC's, etc) at dirt cheap prices.
The normal booths were upstairs. I did my bit to support the DX
announcements on 147.000 MHz. Ran out of time to visit thoroughly
with everybody there.
Only 7 of us showed up for lunch at Red Robin. They make a killer Hurricane...
Stopped at Frys on the way home. Maybe if I'd found more treasures
at Puyallup I wouldn't have spent so much at Frys. On the other hand
- I only picked up what was on the list so it would have been
expensive regardless... I do now have a four slot "USB" interfaced
drive box with 1.5 TB. More on that later besides the note that I'm
good for my disk needs for a couple months.
I also picked up a HD Media Player Live - haven't power it up yet but
it looks to e everything the Radio Shack Netgear version wasn't.
Looking forward now to the Linuxfest NW...
