I think Ken N7IPB has a couple of the Maxon units. Am not sure he ever
got the through put he desired, but its been a while since I have asked
him about those too.
The Javad / ArWest unit looked pretty nifty they even have embedded
Bluetooth and RS-232 / 485 /422 serial ports built in.
They are also doing unit with GNSS technology that connects directly to
the ESRI ArcGIS mapping server, mostly for surveying I read in their add.
